Here’s Why The Netflix Heroes Didn’t Appear In Avengers: Endgame

That said, I’m sure at least a few of you were wondering where the heck the likes of Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and the Punisher were. Also realizing this question was that of the New York Times, as they brought up the subject while recently speaking with screenwriters Chistopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
First, let’s look at what McFeely had to say:
“We would have to introduce these five characters — or whatever many. We already are assuming people have seen a lot of the movies. Are we really going to assume they have bought a subscription to Netflix and watched those shows enough so that when they see them, they’re going to go ‘yay?’”

Here’s what Markus had to add:
“It also screws up the timelines. You would have to assume that they all got snapped away, or otherwise they might have shown up earlier. I think the only character who has come from TV to the movies is Jarvis, James D’Arcy [from Agent Carter].”Actually, the Netflix heroes did get snapped away, but the culprit was actually that of the streaming service they once called home, as opposed to Thanos. When it comes to the inclusion of a human Jarvis, however, his cameo is a bit easier to swallow because Agent Carter – which aired on ABC, mind you – featured several supporting characters played by actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Avengers: Endgame is now playing in theaters.
